Grant availability for solar panels in Scotland has changed in recent years. The Home Energy Scotland Grant currently focuses on heat pumps and heating upgrades — the solar and battery element of the scheme ended in June 2024. However, low-income households may qualify for free solar panels through the ECO4 scheme or the Warm Homes Local Grant. Herofix can advise you on exactly what funding you may be eligible for based on your circumstances.

Yes. The Home Energy Scotland Grant provides up to £7,500 towards an air source heat pump, plus an optional interest-free loan of up to £7,500, giving eligible homeowners access to up to £15,000 in combined support. Your installation must be carried out by an MCS-certified company like Herofix to qualify. We'll help you understand your eligibility before you commit to anything.
