At Herofix, we spend most of our days thinking about how to make homes across Tayside warmer, greener, and more efficient. But we also know that a home isn't just the four walls you live in, it’s the community that surrounds it. That’s why we were absolutely thrilled to head down to the North Inch in Perth on the 8th and 9th of May to sponsor the Perthshire Rugby Beer Festival 2026.
If you were there, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about. If you missed it, well, pull up a chair and let us tell you why this was one of our favourite weekends of the year so far.
A Weekend of Sport, Spirit, and a Few Good Pints
The Perthshire Rugby Beer Festival isn't just about the beer (though the selection was top-tier!). It’s a massive celebration of local spirit, sport, and community fundraising. Held at the iconic North Inch, right on the banks of the River Tay, the setting couldn't have been more perfect. As the sun came out over Perth, the park was transformed into a bustling hub of activity.
The main event on Saturday was the legendary Rugby 7s tournament. Watching the Men’s and Women’s teams battle it out on the pitch was a real highlight for the Herofix team. There’s something special about 7s rugby, it’s fast, high-energy, and requires a huge amount of teamwork. It’s the same kind of energy we try to bring to every solar panel installation we do, though we usually spend less time tackling people!

Craft Beers, Gin, and Great Grub
While the rugby was the heart of the afternoon, the beer tent was definitely the soul. This year’s selection of craft beers, ciders, and even a dedicated gin bar was truly impressive. It was great to see so many local breweries and suppliers represented. Supporting local business is a huge part of our ethos at Herofix, so seeing the community come together to enjoy a local pint was fantastic.
What really stood out was the strength of Perth’s local craft beer scene. Festivals like this give people a chance to discover brilliant independent brewers right on their doorstep, and that local flavour was a big part of what made the weekend feel special. It was great to see names such as Cullach Brewing (had to mention these guys, I’m a personal fan), Two Towns Down Brewing, and Inveralmond Brewery in the mix, helping showcase the variety and quality of craft beer connected to Perth and the surrounding area.
Of course, you can't have a beer festival without some serious street food. From classic BBQ burgers to local hog roasts, the smells wafting across the North Inch were irresistible. It was the perfect fuel for those who had spent the morning cheering on the rugby teams or for families enjoying a day out in the park.

Why Herofix Loves Supporting Local Sports
You might wonder why a company that specialises in heat pumps and solar energy is sponsoring a rugby festival. For us, the answer is simple: we are a local business, and we care about where we live.
Perthshire Rugby Club is more than just a club; it’s a community asset. It provides a place for young people to learn teamwork, for adults to stay active, and for everyone to socialise and build friendships. The funds raised during the Beer Festival go directly back into the club to help maintain the facilities and run their various programmes. Selfishly, I hope one day, when he’s older, my kiddo can enjoy the community activities this superb organisation organises every year (and maybe even play rugby if he fancies it!).
As a team that works in homes all across Tayside, we see the value of a strong community every day. Whether we’re helping a family in Perth get a quote for a new boiler or installing battery storage in a home in Dundee, we know that our customers are our neighbours. Sponsoring events like this is our way of saying "thank you" for trusting us with your homes.
More Than Just Energy: Powering the Future
At Herofix, our mission is to provide sustainable energy solutions that last for generations. We want the Tayside of the future to be clean, green, and vibrant. Just like the rugby club is building a future for local athletes, we are trying to build a future where local homeowners aren't at the mercy of rising energy bills.
Walking around the festival, it was great to chat with many of you about everything from the rugby scores to the benefits of battery storage. We love hearing your stories and understanding what matters to you when it comes to your home energy.

The Soundtrack of the Summer
As the rugby wrapped up and the sun began to dip, the live music kicked off. There’s nothing quite like live bands in a festival tent to get the crowd going. The atmosphere was electric, with people of all ages dancing and singing along. It was the perfect end to a brilliant weekend.
The "raucous sevens" atmosphere lived up to its name, but in the best possible way, friendly, loud, and full of Tayside charm. We were proud to see the Herofix name alongside such a well-organised and well-loved event. If you want to see some of the highlights for yourself, check out the Perthshire Rugby reels to catch the festive vibe.

Looking Ahead
We want to say a massive well done to everyone at Perthshire Rugby Club for putting on such a fantastic show. The amount of work that goes into organising a weekend like this is immense, and they knocked it out of the park (or the Inch, in this case!).
We are already looking forward to next year's event. In the meantime, the Herofix team is back on the road, helping homeowners across the region find the best ways to heat and power their homes.
If you’re thinking about making your home more energy-efficient, or if you just want to talk about how solar panels could work for your property, why not get in touch? We offer a range of services from boilers to batteries, all designed to save you money and reduce your carbon footprint.
Final Thoughts on Community
Being a part of the Perthshire Rugby Beer Festival 2026 reminded us why we do what we do. We don't just fit solar panels; we help build resilient, sustainable communities. By supporting our local clubs and charities, we help ensure that Tayside remains a wonderful place to live, work, and play rugby.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello. See you at the next one!
